This document is designed to help Norwich Community Choir rehearse safely in open spaces from Stage Four of the government roadmap for the return to performing arts. 15th August 2020

This risk assessment is for rehearsals without an audience.

This risk assessment will be shared with members in line with government recommendations

This risk assessment will be published on Norwich Community Choir website in line with government recommendations.


Norwich Community Choir are deemed to be non-professionals. ‘participating in performing arts other than for work purposes.’

This risk assessment uses all the standards expected for professional performers.


Non-professionals are obliged to follow guidelines for meeting people outside your home. We can continue to meet in any outdoor space in a group of up to 6 people from different households.

Any other gathering in an outdoor space must not be any larger than 30 people.


Norwich Community Choir has a duty of care to ensure, as far as is practicable to not expose any member to risk to our health and/or to our safety.

This is a proactive working document that may change as guidelines change or to accommodate anything we consider to be even safer practise.
